ILO team reviews schools for rescued child workers

Tiruvalluvar, Tamil Nadu, June 6 (UNI) A team of International Labour Organisation (ILO) officials today visited the district and reviewed the training imparted to rescued child workers under the Indo-US Child Labour Scheme.

The four-member team held a review meeting with the local officials on the implementation of the scheme under which 66 special schools had been set up for rehabilitation of the child labourers.

Later, along with District Collector Ranveerprasad,the team reviewed the working of schools imparting industrial training to those child labourers in the age group of 14-17 years.
