Hollywood activists Larry and Laurie David split
LOS ANGELES, June 6 (Reuters) Hollywood power couple Larry David, the co-creator of ''Seinfeld,'' and his political activist wife Laurie, separated on Monday after 14 years of marriage, their spokeswoman said.
Spokeswoman Heather Lylas said the split was amicable. She told Reuters that the couple ''are completely committed to raising their two daughters.'' She declined to give a reason for the break-up.
Besides co-creating the NBC hit television comedy ''Seinfeld,'' David is the star of the HBO series ''Curb Your Enthusiasm,'' in which he plays himself as a boorish television writer who shames his on-screen wife.
Laurie David is a longtime Hollywood activist and one of the producers of the Oscar-winning documentary, ''An Inconvenient Truth,'' former Vice President Al Gore's appeal for action to halt global warming.
