Fire guts 40 houses

Tirupati, June 6 (UNI) About 40 huts were gutted and property worth Rs 30 lakhs destroyed in fire at Harijanawada village in Chittoor district near here today.

No casualty was reported.

Police said, the fire might have spread from one of the houses when the residents were out for work.

The exact reason for the mishap was yet to be as ascertained.
