DU student commits suicide due to poor performance in exam

New Delhi June 6 (UNI) A 19-year-old Delhi University undergraduate allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her Kotla Mubarakpur residence in South Delhi this morning.

Thaieni Hachani, hailing from Manipur, hanged herself from bathroom ceiling with her 'dupatta', according to police.

The first year correspondence student of Delhi University had not fared well in her English paper, the examination of which was held yesterday.

She used to stay with her sister, who is a lecturer in Jamia Milia Islamia University.
