Driver flees with consignment

Surat, June 6 (UNI) A driver with a transport agency allegedly cheated a company to the tune of Rs 2 lakh by fleeing with a consignment of dress material.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged with the police by the transport agent.

The agent has said that a consignment of dress material, valued at around Rs 2 lakh, were loaded on his truck for delivery to a party on May 26.

Driver Surendrachand Shriram Singh was assigned for the job.

However, despite over ten days having elapsed, the consignee had not yet received the goods.
