CM and his wife's voice in CD distinct, asserts former CM
Una, Jun 6 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister and newly elected MP from Hamirpur constituency, Prem Kumar Dhumal today said the voices in the CD were quite distinct and are unmistakably those of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his MP wife, Pratibha Singh.
Talking to mediapersons at Chintpurni shrine after paying his obeisance last night, he said the Chief Minister was trying to brush aside serious charges of corruption levelled against him by denying that the voices in the CD were not theirs.
Mr Singh, he said, should file an affidavit in the Himachal Pradesh High Court, denying that the voices in the CD was neither his and nor of his wife.
Rejecting Mr Singh's denials, he said the people of the state recognise their voices distinctly and their denials that the voices were not theirs were of no consequence.
Mr Dhumal said the Chief Minister should resign on moral grounds as he has been caught red handed, accepting money, while as a leader of the state Congress, he had been trumpeting about his clean image.
Accusing the Congress of cheating all sections of the society, he said it had failed in fulfilling its promises and had given literally nothing to the people of the state during his five terms in office.
