BSF jawan killed in Tripura

Agartala, June 6 (UNI) The banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militants gunned down a BSF jawan in remote Ratnanagar locality under Raishyabari police station area of South Tripura today.

According to police, the ultras snatched an SLR from the slain jawan, identified as Dinabandhu Pal, a resident of Orissa.

''A group of NLFT gunmen attacked the foot patrolling party of 194 battalion of BSF in Ratnanagar area killing a jawan on the spot,'' police said.

Police along with paramilitary forces launched a manhunt but nobody was arrested so far, police added.
