BBMP Senior Health Inspector arrested for taking bribe

Bangalore, June 6 (UNI) A Senior Health Inspector of Bruhut Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) was today arrested by Karnataka Lokayukta sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 for showing official favour.

According to a release here, P Narashimhamurthy was caught red handed while accepting the bribe from Ganesha Murthy for issuing license to start Mineral Water Plant at Tata Nagar in the city.

The accused was arrested and further investigation is in progress, it said.
