Ancient idol recovered from pond

Chhatarpur, MP, June 6 (UNI) A 17 Kg ancient brass idol of Lord Ram was found while deepening of Gwalmagara pond in the district, police said today.

Police said a cut-mark on the bottom of the idol indicated that it might have been stolen from a temple and later dumped in the pond.

The idol was found at a depth of 10 feet from the pond bed, police added.
