MP: Ancient idol recovered from pond

Chhatarpur (MP), June 6: A 17 Kg ancient brass idol of Lord Ram was found during the deepening of Gwalmagara pond in the district, police said today.

A mark on the bottom of the idol indicated that it might have been stolen from a temple and later dumped in the pond. The idol was found at a depth of ten feet from the pond bed, police added.
