Accused turn approver in Shahabuddin's case

Muzaffarpur, Jun 6 (UNI) A student, Imran Alam, today turned approver and deposed before a local court admitting that he had scripted answersheets on behalf of incarcerated RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin during LLB examinations held in Muzaffarpur in 2005.

District police superintendent Ratna Sanjay said that Alam, a resident of Sakra village in Muzaffarpur district, submitted before the first class judicial magistrate Vijay Krishna Singh under section 164 of Cr Pc stating that he had acted under duress. Mr Alam said that he had written answersheets at his hostel room which were carried to the examination centres by one Saifuddin.

Mr Sanjay informed that chargesheet against Mohammad Shahabuddin had already been submitted in this case.
