2 accused in double murder case held

Chandigarh, Jun 6 (UNI) The Haryana Police has arrested two of the three persons accused of murdering Maj Gen (Retd) K C Dhingra and his wife Sangeeta in Panchkula on May 13.

Panchkula Superintendent of Police Balbir Singh said Anand, a domestic help of the Dhingra family, and his associate Rajan were arrested in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.

The duo, he said, had been brought on a transit remand to Panchkula and were today produced in a local court which remanded them in police custody till June 12.

The SP said the accused had confessed to have killed the couple with the motive of robbing them. The third accused Ajit was still absconding.
