Woman murdered for dowry

Kaushambi, June 5 (UNI) A woman was allegedly killed by her husband and in-laws in Saini area of the district.

The victim's brother Rohit Singh claimed his sister Vandana (23), married two years ago to Dilip Singh of Lohanda village, was constantly harassed for dowry.

Vandana was murdered late yesterday and the body was cremated without informing her family members.

Meanwhile, Dilip and his family members had been booked under relevant sections for dowry death, police said.

Investigations were on.
