Bihar: 2 CRPF jawans killed in landmine explosion

Dehri on Sone, Jun 5: At least two CRPF jawans were killed and seven others were injured when suspected CPI(Maoist) activists triggered a powerful landmine explosion near Koriyarighat under Rohtas police station today, police said.

Police superintendent of Rohtas district N H Khan told UNI that the extremists triggered the explosion when a large contingent of security forces was ordered foot march to Kaimur hills area where important leaders of CPI(Maoist) from Bihar, Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand had reportedly assembled to hold a meeting.

The slain jawans were yet to be identified since the explosion was severe, he added.
