Three held for murder

Puducherry, June 5 (UNI) Police today arrested three persons in connection with the death of a youth at Emablom last week.

It may be recalled that one Dhanraj of Embalom was allegedly attacked by three persons, including the owner of a cell phone show room over the purchase of a mobile phone and was hospitalised.

As the villagers resorted to hartal and road blockade agitations demanding their arrest, the trio managed to escape. Meanwhile, Dhanraj died two days back, leading to agitations in Embalom again.

Police registered the death of Dhanraj as a murder case. They were produced before a local court and remanded to judicial custody.
