Temple in memory of NTR

Machilipatnam, June 5 (UNI) A temple would be constructed in memory of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, veteran film hero and founder of TDP late N T Rama Rao, his wife late Basavatarakam at Nimmakuru near here, their grandson N T Ramarao (Jr) said today.

After garlanding the statues of NTR and his wife, which were installed by him three years back, he said the total cost of the temple would also be borne by him.

Meanwhile, tension prevailed in the area due to clash between TDP and ''Madiga dandora'' activists since yesterday on the issue of installing the statues.

Police said the situation was under control.
