PNB appoints Dr Chakrabarty as new CMD

New Delhi, Jun 5 (UNI) Country's second largest bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB) today said it has appointed Dr Kamalesh Chandra Chakrabarty as the new Chairman and Managing Director, replacing Mr S C Gupta.

Dr Chakrabarty was the Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Bank earlier.

In 2004, Dr Chakrabarty was promoted to the post of Executive Director in PNB and assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Bank on June 9, 2005.

Presently, he is also director of United India Insurance Company Ltd, and member of the management committee of the Indian Bank Association.
