PCA thrashes NICS in Hot Weather

Patiala, June 5 (UNI) The local Patiala Cricket Association (PCA) thrashed NICS cricket academy, Patiala, by eight wickets in a one-sided match here today in 9th Hot Weather Cricket Tournament (Under-13) at the Yadavindra Public School ground.

NICS won the toss and opted to bat first. They were bowled out for a low score of 72 in 24.3 overs. Karan Pathak (14) and Nikhil (13) were the only batsmen to get into the double figures. The rest of NICS batsmen wilted under the tight and penetrative PCA bowling attack.

For PCA, Yadavindra bowled magnificently to capture 5 wickets, giving away just 7 runs. Sudhir Kumar bagged 2 wickets, conceding 10 runs.

In reply, PCA raced to 73 for the loss of 2 wickets in just 16.3 overs. Manpreet Singh played a fine unbeaten innings of 29.

For NICS, Vikram took one for 15 and Akash one for 17.
