Pasla-CPM campaign for subsidised 'Atta-Daal' continues
Jalandhar, June 5 (UNI) On the second day of the campaign, launched by Punjab CPM (Pasla) against the SAD-BJP Government for not providing subsidised 'Atta-Daal' to the poor masses, protests were held at many places in the state.
A press release issued here today stated that dharnas and demonstrations were held at Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Sardulgarh and Khadoor Sahib (Amritsar) district as part of the week-long campaign.
The campaign was launched by holding a convention here yesterday, in which a demand-charter relating to unemployment, increase in minimum wages and implementation of labours laws, free and adequate health facilities and regular and 24-hour power supply was finalised.
