UP: Mob vandalise vehicles

Hardoi, June 5: Furious over an incident where police thrashed a youth suspecting him to be a thief late last night, an irate mob protested and vandalised the police vehicle here.

The incident occurred when Police Circle Officer (city) Sanjay Sagar intercepted a tractor ladden with wood logs. However, the driver rushed the vehicle following which police thrashed Rajesh, suspecting him to be a thief.

A mob, took to the streets and vandalised many vehicles, including a police jeep.

The injured has been admitted to the hospital.
