Major bureaucratic reshuffle in MP

Bhopal, Jun 5 (UNI) In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government today issued transfer and posting orders of 25 IAS officers, including the Collectors of 10 districts.

As per the reshuffle orders, district collectors of Bhopal, Badwani, Raisen, Katni, Betul, Vidisha, Chhatarpur, Hoshangabad, Sidhi and Damoh would be affected.

The transfer and posting orders were being seen in connection with forthcoming state assembly elections in the state next year.

Director (State Education Centre) M K Singh has been posted as Commissioner (Silk, Bhopal) in place of Mr M Mohan Rai who has been shifted to the Panchayat and Social Justice, Bhopal, department.

Mr Ashish Upadhyaya, who has returned from foreign training, has been appointed as secretary in the higher education department.

Ms Alka Upadhyaya, who has also returned from foreign training, has been posted as Epco executive director, Disaster Management Institute director and officiating secretary (Housing and Environment).

Badwani Collector Arun Tiwari has been posted as Renenue Board member (Gwalior), Bhopal Collector S K Mishra as Chief Minister's Secretary with additional charge of Managing Director in the Small-scale Industries Development Corporation.

Director (Backward Class Welfare) V K Batham has been given additional charge as Chhatarpur Collector, while Additional Secretary Manohar Agnani has been posted as Director (School Education Centre, Bhopal).

Katni Collector Anupam Rajan has been appointed as Director (Training, Jabalpur), while Additional Secretary (Bhopal gas tragedy relief and rehabilitation) K S Maran will be posted as Raisen Collector.

Additional Secretary (Revenue) G P Tiwari has been posted as Hoshangabad Collector, Additional Commissioner (Tribal Welfare) Anju Singh Baghel would become Katni Collector.

Betul Collector Chandrahas Dubey has been appointed as Controller (Food and Drug Administration) and officiating secretary (Public Health and Family Welfare), while Additional Secretary (Forest) S K Pal has been made Badwani Collector.

Deputy Administrator (Capital Project Administration) and officiating Additional Secretary (Housing and Environment) Arun Kochar has been appointed as Director (Handloom) and Director (Aviation).

Vidisha Collector R K Mathur has been posted as Bhopal Collector, while Chhatarpur Collector Ajatshatru would take over as Deputy Administrator (Capital Project Administration) and officiating Deputy Secretary to Chief Minister.

Hoshangabad Collector Faiz Ahmed has been posted as Managing Director (Industrial Development Corporation, Indore), while Deputy Secretary (Home) Geeta Mishra has been posted as Ashoknagar Collector.

Sidhi Collector Sukbir Singh has been appointed as Deputy Secretary (Forest), while Deputy Secretary (Public Health and Family Welfare) R A Khandelwal has been made Damoh Collector in place of Mr Pawan Kumar, who has been posted as Commissioner (Municipal Corporation, Gwalior).

Ujjain Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Kedar Lal Sharma has been appointed as Sidhi Collector.
