Heavy power cut vexes people in Amethi

Sultanpur, June 5 (UNI) People of Congress MP Rahul Gahdhi's parliamentary constituency Amethi are seething, following heavy load shedding there as compared to Rae Bareli, the parliamentary seat of AICC chief Sonia Gandhi.

People of Amethi are faced with hardships due to 18 hours of power cut since last fortnight, which has also posed the problem of water crises.

However, Rae Bareli -- the parliamentary constituency of Ms Gandhi -- is being supplied with 24 hours electricity.

The locals are angry due to this ''step-motherly'' treatment.

They alleged partiality between the parliamentary seats of Rahul and his mother Ms Gandhi.

According to sources, the locals are soon going to hold demonstrations to protest the heavy load shedding in Amethi.
