Gujjars to meet in Pushkar to decide future strategy
Kota, June 5 (UNI) Gujjars from all over Rajasthan will congregate in holy town of Pushkar in Ajmer district on June 8 to decide on the future strategy to pursue their demand for inclusion in the ST list.
This was disclosed by BJP legislator from Ramganjmandi Prahlad Gunjal who said that he had received an invitation for the Pushkar Mahapanchayat, which he is going to attend.
Reacting to the deal between the state government and Gujjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla, Mr Gunjal said that ''no Colonel or his army of people'' can decide on the reservation issue for Gujjars.
''The deal can be called an immediate truce for the violence-hit state for the moment but it can also be called the foundation for a bigger agitation for the reservation issue,'' he said.
Mr Gunjal claimed that the way the Meena ministers and leaders distributed sweets and celebrated after the deal was announced, made it clear ''who won and who was insulted in the end.'' UNI
