Godhra PSI caught accepting bribe

Godhra, Jun 5 (UNI) Sleuths of the anti-corruption bureau today arrested caught Police Sub-Inspector of Limkheda police station while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000.

The accused PSI V P Patel was arrested on the basis of complaint by Mansukhbhai Ditabhai Ambliyar, a resident of Gillakote village in Limkheda taluka.

The Kimkheda police had held complainant under Prohibition Act.

The accused then told Mansukhbhai that by paying Rs 8,000 the police would forego on the application and he would not be harassed by the cops.

Mansukhbhai had paid the first instalment of Rs 5,000 and the second instalment of Rs 3,000 was to be paid today.

Meanwhile, the complainant approached Godhra ACB, who laid a trap and caught Mansukhbhai while accepting the bribe of Rs 3,000.
