Guj: 4 Essar officials held; Fire in oil terminal

Jamnagar, June 5: The police today arrested four officers of the Essar group in connection with fire at Essar Oil's Vadinar Terminal in February this year in which four labourers were killed.

According to police sources, the accused Arvind Parbatbhai Chhaya, Jigar Dilipbhai Parikh, Rajendra Hiralal Patel and Dhiran Bhavanji Patel were produced before the Jamkhambhalia court and sent to the Judicial custody.

They were arrested under IPCL 304, the police said.

Apart from the death of four labourers, 16 of them were injured in the February 1 blaze in the oil terminal, police said.
