Bail granted to ex-Andhra Minister

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, June 5 (UNI) A lower court today granted bail to former Minister and senior Telugu Desam Party leader M Ranga Rao, who was arrested yesterday on the charge of obstructing an Andhra Pradesh Transmission Corporation official from performing his duty at Bhimadole on April 13.

After Second Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate K Hanumantha Rao granted bail, Mr Ranga Rao was released from the sub-jail here this evening.

Yesterday, the Magistrate had remanded him to judicial custody till June 18 when police produced him.
