Australian Consul General meets CII office-bearers

Puducherry, June 5 (UNI) Consul General and Trade Commissioner of Australia for South India Aminur Rehman today held discussions with the office-bearers of the Confederation of Indian Industry here.

According to CII sources, the discussion revolved around these areas where Australia and Puducherry could have collaborations and identified tourism, education and hospitality as among the areas that offered scope for promotion of joint ventures in the Union Territory.

Mr Rehman was accompanied by Australian Trade Commission Business Development Manager Gitesh Agarwal.

It may be noted that Mr Rehman, on a two-day visit to the Union Territory, had called on Lt Governor Mukut Mithi and Chief Minister N Rangasamy yesterday and held discussions with them.
