Apollo hospital gets JCI accreditation

Ludhiana, june 5 (UNI) Satguru Partap Singh Apollo Hospital has become the first multi-speciality tertiary care hospital in South East Asia to get an accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI), USA within just two years of starting operations.

The combination of high-quality, world class and affordable healthcare services provided by SPS Apollo, has paved the way for the hospital to receive the highest recognition in healthcare, Executive Director of the hospital, Jugdiep Singh here today stated.

With this accreditation, SPS Apollo Hopspital joins an exclusive group of hospitals worldwide, which have passed JCI's stringent clinical quality standards. JCI, the gold standard in healthcare, focuses on areas that directly impact patient care which include access to care, assessment of patients, infection control, patient and family rights and education.

JCI also addresses facility management and safety, staff qualifications and education, quality improvement, organisational leadership and management of information, with almost 1,033 measureable elements.

The JCI accreditation was awarded to the Hospital after a rigorous onsite evaluation by a team of international health care experts.
