Two tuskers found dead in Asom forest
Guwahati, June 4 (UNI) The foresters today recovered bodies of two tuskers from the Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary in Karbi Anglong district of Asom Official sources said the tuskers were found in separate places at the Borpung and Saraipung areas of the forest, adjacent to the Kaziranga National Park.
One of the tuskers had bullet injuries on the head, purportedly sustained from a hand-made gun.
The foresters suspect the elephants while killed around three days back.
However, the half-grown tusks were intact in both the dead pachyderms.
Both the carcasses have been sent for post mortem.
