Two govt officials held for corruption

Chandigarh, June 4 (UNI) Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught red handed Ram Avtar, Excise and Taxation Officer, Panipat while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 15,000 from Ishwar Chand, resident of Panipat for not imposing challan on his transport Company.

Similarly, Bureau officials have also caught red handed Krishan Dutt, Assistant Food and Supplies Officer, Kaithal while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 from Rajbir Singh, resident of Jaildar Mohalla.

Cases under section 7/13 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 have been registered against them in the Bureau's police station at Rohtak and Ambala respectively. Further investigation in the cases is in progress.
