Sugar prices rise on good demand from retailers
Navi Mumbai, Jun 4 (UNI) Sugar prices in medium grade rose on increase of demand, traders at the Vashi Sugar Merchant's Association said today.
Sugar in small and medium grades went up by Rs 14 and Rs 20 per quintal repectively on better buying support.
Sugar in ex-mill, small and medium grades hiked by Rs 15 and Rs 40 per quintal respectively on lesser stock supply.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,300/1,335, Medium grade: Rs 1,350/1,390, Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,275/1,292, Medium grade: Rs 1,330/1,350.
