Singapore Airlines announces new flight to Chennai

Chennai, June 4: Leading airline service provider Singapore Airlines today announced its 50th service to India, with the launch of its eighth weekly flight to Chennai.

The new service that comes into effect from June 24, will help boost the capacity by almost 14 per cent to the capital city, a company statement here said.

Singapore Airlines would be using the 'Boeing 777-200' aircraft with a two-class configuration- 30 Business and 293 Economy class seats - for this service, offering more connection options to several cities in the carrier's global network.

According to the schedule, flight no SQ526 will fly on all Sundays from Singapore at 1910 hrs and will reach Chennai at 2035 hrs.

And from Chennai the flight (SQ527) will leave at 2230 hrs and would reach Singapore at 0510 hrs, the statement added.
