SBI officers to observe one-day strike on June eight
Bangalore, Jan 4 (UNI) The bank officers under the umbrella of All India State Bank Officers' Federation will observe a day's strike on June eight in protest against to State Bank of India management resorting to 'unilateral action' on issues concerning service conditions of the officers.
"The understandings reached on some of the issues as back as 2005 are yet to be implemented by the management," Federation General Secretary G D Nadaf said in a release issued here today.
He said the officers were observing 'work to rule' agitation From May one this year. The management had not shown any positive indication to resolve the issues. The officers were not left with any other alternative but to go on strike, he said.
"All branches and offices throughout the country would remained closed on the strike day. We regret for inconvenience caused to the public," he added.
UNI
