Raichur records highest temperature 39.7 degree celsius

Bangalore, Jun 4 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Bangalore AP 6; Bidar 4; Sindhanur, Shivani, Gowribidanur, Rampura 2 each; Kampli, Pavgada, Bangalore City 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over Interior Karnataka.

They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and above normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 39.7 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada districts and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Fishermen Warning for Karnataka Coast: Strong onshore winds from southwesterly to southerly direction speed occasionally reaching forty five to fifty five kmph likely along off Karnataka coast during next 24 hours.
