NIAT celebrates 51st anniversary

Kochi, June 4 (UNI) The Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology (NIAT), the premier Aviation Technical Training Establishment of the Indian Navy at Naval Base Kochi, today celebrated its 51st anniversary.

A cultural programme was organised on the occasion. In keeping with naval traditions, the youngest sailor Manish Raj along with K R Gouri, USL and NIAT Director, Capt Srinivas Kanugo, cut the cake.

The Institute, established in 1956, imparted Aviation Technical Training to Technical Officers, Sailors and Aircrew of the Naval Air arm, besides training personnel of friendly foreign Navies.
