Militant nabbed with cash

Imphal, Jun 4 (UNI) The troops of the 32 Assam Rifles have nabbed a Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup(KYKL) militant, Assam Rifles PRO said here today.

The cadre was nabbed on Saturday. During interrogation, he said he was with the People's Liberation Army(PLA) in Bangladesh from 2003 - 2004, the PRO confirmed. Later he had joined KYKL.

The KYKL had served demand notes on the LIC and threats on the shop-keepers of the Imphal market.

The arrested cadre has been identified as Gurumayum Kameshwar Sharma(43) of Wangkhei and about Rs 14 lakh along with three mobile phones and some incriminating documents were recovered from his possession.
