Manipal University to offer several job oriented courses

Manipal, June 4 (UNI) Manipal University proposes to introduce several job oriented courses during the current academic year with specially designed curriculum meeting the industrial requirements.

The new courses proposed included graduate, post graduate and certificate programs with proper training for the job market such as 3 years BBM-e-Banking and Finance (6 semesters), B.Sc (Applied Science in Computer and Electronics and Communication). The students could also pursue their Master Degrees in M.Sc (Biostatistics) for training the students with lot of opportunities in Healthcare, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, according to a release here.

The University would also offer PG Certificate courses in Bioavailability, Bioequivalence and Clinical Trials which would be a one year course to meet the growing man power needs of trained professional needs for the clinical needs and pharmaceutical industries.

A Two-year M.Sc (Regenerative Medicine) degree course would also be offered to train in stem cells research besides, a 2 year M.Arch- Advanced Design, approved by the Architecture Council of India, Certificate Courses in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics Epidemiology and Research Methodology and Animation Technology for 6 months.

Manipal University would also be implementing the AICTE proposed scheme for tuition fee waiver scheme for women, physically handicapped and economically backward meritorious students for admission to BE, B.Arch. BHM and Pharmacy with waiver of tuition fee for 10 per cent of the student intake, the release added.
