Kumnaraswamy to hand over reins to BJP as agreed

M M Hills, June 4 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today reiterated that he would hand over power to coalition partner BJP as agreed before the formation of the government.

Talking to newspersons here, he said ''as per the internal agreement between us, I will hand over reins to the BJP in this October.'' About an increase in number of farmers committing suicide due to distress, Mr Kumaraswamy said a meeting of experts and farmers' leaders would be convened within 15 days in Bangalore on the isue.

In the proposed meeting, the G K Veeresh committee report would also be discussed.

He also laid the foundation stone for supply of permanent water to M M Hills from Cauvery river.
