Howrah Trivandrum Bi-weekly express to start from Shalimar

Kolkata, Jun 4(UNI) As part of an exercise to decongest Howrah station, South-Eastern Railway has decided that 6324 Up Howrah-Trivandrum Bi-weekly Express will start from Shalimar instead of Howrah with effect from tomorrow.

In the return direction, 6323 Dn. Trivandrum-Howrah Bi-weekly Express leaving Trinvandrum with effect from June seven will terminate at Shalimar instead of Howrah, a Railway release today said.

Similarly, 2660 Up Howrah-Nagercoil weekly Gurudev Express will leave from Shalimar with effect from June six instead of Howrah while 2659 Dn. Nagercoil-Howrah weekly Gurudev Express leaving Nagercoil with effect from June ten will terminate at Shalimar in the return direction.

In order to facilitate passenger dispersal to and from Shalimar, S E Railway held discussions with senior officials of the state government for providing necessary connectivity with Shalimar by taxi, bus and ferry services, the release said.

In another decision following abnormal late running of corresponding down train, S E Railway announced that 2307 Up Howrah-Jodhpur Express, scheduled to leave Howrah at 2330 hrs today had been rescheduled to leave at 0115 hrs tomorrow.
