Heat wave conditions in several parts of country

Pune, June 4 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, east Madhya Pradesh and in Chattisgarh and at isolated places in Bihar and Vidarbha.

In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and of Chattisgarh and were above normal in Manipur, Gangetic West Bengal, Karnataka and Kerala, in some parts of east Rajasthan, west Madhya Praesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Vidarbha and of Andhra Pradesh and in remaining parts of Bihar and of east Madhya Pradesh. They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Gujrat Region and were below normal in Tripura. They were normal over the rest of the region.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim,Jharkhand, Bihar and south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh State, Tamil Nadu, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Heavy rains have occurred at a many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in east Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, Rayalseema and south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, north interior Karnataka and Kerala.
