Haryana govt to open private placement agencies in 4 distts
Chandigarh, June 4 (UNI) The Haryana Government is actively considering to open Private Placement Agencies at Faridabad, Gurgaon, Sonepat and Yamunanagar with a view to provide employment opportunities to the people of the state in private sector.
One such agency has already been set up at Gurgaon.
While giving this information Haryana Labour and Employment Minister Birender Singh said that Haryana Overseas Placement Bureau had helped in providing jobs to 23 applicants in Dubai besides two students had been recommended for Australia to get higher education.
He said that the government was making persistent efforts to create ample opportunities of employment in the state.
Under the new industrial policy, employment opportunities for about 10 lakh persons would be generated during a decade, he added.
The Minister said that a special campaign had been launched to fill up the vacant posts in various departments. He said that the government jobs were limited so efforts were on to generate more employment avenues by setting up of new industries in the state.
He said that a number of multinational companies had shown their interests in setting up of their units in the state.
He said that Special Economic Zones (SEZs) were being developed in the state where a number of employment opportunities would be made available to the youth. He said that with a view to encourage the youth for self employment, training was being imparted to them besides they were also being provided loan on easy terms.
