Govt to finalise Police Reforms Act soon
Hyderabad, Jun 4 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government today said it would soon finalise the 'Police Reforms Act' after a final round of discussions with the officials concerned and legal fraternity.
According to an official release here, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, at a review meeting on the Police Reforms Act, told the police officials that the government would finalise the Act after taking the opinion of the Advocate General.
Dr Reddy had discussed the directions of the Supreme Court, the recommendations of Soli Sorabjee Committee, draft provisions and revised draft provisions with the officials and state Home Minister K Jana Reddy.
The meeting also discussed the law and order situation in the city and the implementation of G O 610 in the police department.
