Freedom fighter Narayanan Nambiar passes away
Kannur, June 4 (UNI) Freedom fighter and the founder-leader of farmers movement in Kerala M P Narayanan Nambair today died at a private hospital here following illness.
He was 92.
Nambiar was admitted to the hospital one month ago and he passed away this evening.
Nambiar, one of the senior most Communist leaders in the country, played a major role in moulding 'Karshaka Sangham' in the state and was the founder-president of the Sangham.
He was in the forefront in the struggle against feudalism.
He also served as the panchayat president of Kalyasery for a long period.
The cremation will take place tomorrow at his native place, Kalyassery.
