Five Day Camp for Team India Bowlers begins

Mysore, June 4 (UNI) After resounding victory against Bangladesh, Team India bowlers today began preparation at the Infosys facility here under close watch of Bowling Coach Venkatesh Prasad and Trainer Gregary Kind in preparation for tour of Irland and England.

Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Mysore Zonal Convenor Balachandra said that the players would undergo physical training and bowling practice till evening under the able guidence of former pace bowler Venkatesh Prasad.

The Camp sans Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh who are since busy playing in the Afro Asia Cup matches being held in Bangalore (June 6) and Chennai (June 9 and 10).

UP lad Piyush Chawala, who gave up opportunity of getting training in Australia under Brder-Gavaskar Scholarship on being asked by the BCCI in the last minute yesterday, also arrived here with other members and started practicing.

The camp, totally barred for Media, would last till June eight.

The players participating in the Camp included Anil Kumble, Ajit Agarkar, Irfan Pathan, Munaaf Patel, Rudra Pratap Singh, V V V Singh, Ishant Sharma, Ranadeb Bose, Romesh Powar, Rajesh Pawar, Pankaj Singh, Pragyan Ojha, Piyush Chawla.
