Bangalore, Jun 4 (UNI) Opposition leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today demanded a white paper on 'Gram Vastavyas' (village stays) by Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy in the last 15 months of assuming power.

Talking to newspersons here, he said he wanted to know what impact the village stay progamme had on the 32 villages he had visited.

Mr Singh alleged that the village stay programme by the Chief Minister was a failure as it had not achieved anything in concrete.

He condemned the politicising of the Kalasa Banduri irrigation project following a statement by Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Goa during the elections considering the interest of that state.

''BJP instead of politicising the statement should take steps towards approaching the Prime Minister to expedite the project which proposes to provide drinking water to Hubli-Dharwad and other towns in Northern Karnataka. The project was actually initiated by Congress government by S M Krishna when he was the Chief Minister.'' he added.
