CRPF jawan hurt in bomb blast
Jagdalpur, June 4 (UNI) A CRPF jawan was seriously injured in a landmine blast triggered by naxalites today in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, police said.
CRPF jawans were patrolling on Bijapur-Bhopalpatnam road this morning when the naxalites blasted landmine near Chinna-Kodepal village. The ultras also opened fire, targetting the jawans, police sources said.
CRPF jawan Suresh Kumar, who was seriously injured, was seat to Raipur by helicopter as health services in Bijapur remained paralysed due to power blackout after the naxals blew up high tension transmission towers.
