CPI activists encroach govt land
Eluru, June 4 (UNI) Hundreds of activists and poor people of Andhra Pradesh Vyavasaya Karmika Sangh (APVKS) affiliated to CPI today occupied government land at Kandrakagudem panchayat in Eluru rural mandal.
The agitatin, led by APVKS President Sidhi Venkateswarulu occupied the poramboke land of 18 acres in Kandrikagudem Panchayat.
They hoisted the party flags and marked the boundaries to encroach the land.
He alleged that the ruling Congress had betrayed the poor people by grabbing their house sites and lands in the state.
He reiterated that the CPI and APVKS would agitate till the land was handed over to the poor.
