Court grants bail to student

Hyderabad, Jun 4 (UNI) The Metropolitan Sessions Court today granted bail to Mohd Umeedullah Khan, a second year student of Deccan Engineering College, who opened fire at his fellow students.

Judge Bhujanga Rao granted bail to the accused on condition that he provided two securities for a sum of Rs 20,000 each.

Umeedullah Khan was accused of opening fire at Deccan Engineering College on his fellow students on April 21, 2007.

Umeedullah Khan is facing prosecution for offences, punishable under the provisions of Arms Act.
