CM condoles death of freedom fighter

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 4 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today mourned the death of freedom fighter and founder leader of farmers movement M P Narayanan Nambiar, who died at a private hospital in Kannur.

In a condolence message, he said the demise of Narayanan Nambiar was a great loss to the Communist movement and the Left Progressive Movements in the state.

Nambiar, one of the senior most Communist leaders in the country, was in the forefront in the struggle against feudalism. As president of the Panchayat Presidents organisation in the state, his contributions for the development of the state were great, he added.
