Bomb hoax near city college creates panic

Guwahati, Jun 4 (UNI) A bomb hoax near a college created panic in the city today.

Senior Superintendent of Police Surendar Kumar informed that an unclaimed bag near a scooter triggered panic near the B Barooah College here.

The owner of the scooter called in the police after spotting the bag.

A bomb disposal squad immediately arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.

However, the bag was found to contain a video camera and no explosives were found.

The owner of the bag was yet to be identified, Mr Kumar said.
